NHS protocols manage glucose with tablets. They don’t require investigating why you became insulin resistant. We test what doesn’t get checked routinely. Homocysteine, fasting insulin, inflammatory markers, nutritional deficiencies. Then we fix what those results show.
Frequently asked questions
Explore our most frequently asked questions to understand how our protocol works and you can expect.
Who's this for?
Adults with Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes who are on treatment but still struggling. Works best when your pancreas still makes insulin but your body’s stopped responding properly.
Does this work for Type 1?
No. Type 1 is autoimmune. This is specifically for Type 2 and insulin resistance.
Is this safe?
Yes. We work alongside your NHS care. Your GP stays informed. Tablet changes happen through them, not us. We check for problems in your free consultation before you commit.
Do I stop my tablets?
No. You continue unless your GP decides otherwise. If your glucose improves, your doctor may adjust your prescription. That’s their decision, not ours.
What if my GP disagrees?
Most welcome it when we keep them informed. We send your doctor test results and treatment plans. If there’s a concern, we sort it before proceeding.
Does this work for everyone?
Most improve. Some reach non diabetic ranges in months. Others reduce tablets considerably but still need some. A few don’t respond as expected. Usually advanced pancreatic damage or other complications. We’ll assess honestly in your consultation.
How long?
Investigation takes 2 to 3 weeks. Treatment runs 3 to 6 months. Review at 3 months. If you’ve hit targets, done. If you need more time, you get another three months at no extra cost.
Is this NHS?
No. Private. The tests and protocols we use aren’t part of NHS guidelines. But we work with your NHS GP throughout.
Can this reverse diabetes?
Some reach non diabetic ranges. Others reduce tablets and symptoms considerably. Depends on your body’s response and how consistently you follow the plan.
What tests?
Blood tests. Homocysteine, fasting insulin, inflammatory markers, nutritional deficiencies. Food diary and elimination to find trigger foods. Gut testing if your history suggests it.
What's in the free consultation?
30 minutes with Dr Hashi. Your history, current tablets, symptoms, goals. What we’d investigate and why. Safety check. Questions answered. If we can’t help, we’ll tell you.
After treatment ends?
Most maintain improvement through the dietary and rhythm changes learned. Some need occasional check ins. If resistance returns, we investigate what changed.
Live outside England?
The service is built around UK healthcare and GP coordination. Elsewhere in UK it is usually fine. Outside the UK, discuss in consultation. Depends on your location and healthcare system.
Cost?
Discuss in your free consultation once we’ve assessed your situation. Depends on which tests you need. We’re clear about costs before you commit.
Will it be difficult?
Changes are practical but need consistency. Adjust sleep timing, meal windows, light exposure. Remove trigger foods, follow the food plans. Take the botanicals. Most find it manageable once they understand why.
